Bone Graphing

Has anyone here had bone graphing done before? If so please tell me all about it, and what risks there may be? Supposedly I will most likely need it after an extraction for an implant. ( yes and braces to ) Any idea what this could cost? Oral surgeon had didn't know off hand. I'm on an emtional roll...

Well some time has passed and I've had a chance to think about things. First off a big thank you to my wife who has been so positive about it all and giving me hope. The surgeon and I talked about the denture "flipper" route. I've decided I'm not going to have that done. Just doesn't seem ...

I may try another oral surgeon but I think the only way to tell is to try to get it pulled down for $375.
My mistake $375 + braces.

Hmm wonder how much bone graphing costs?

I'm so sorry this visit didn't go well for you. What you're describing is everyone's worst fear, I'm sure. I'm just wondering what other options you might have. For instance, can you go to another oral surgeon for an opinion? I could although I think he really knows what he's talking about. Seems h...

Oral Surgeon Visit

Here is an update on my oral surgeon visit regaring an impacted cainin tooth.   It did not go well, if fact worse than I could have imagined. Looking at the x-ray he says, due to the discoloration and how high this tooth is. It feels it is very unlikely the tooth will come down. H...

Ankylosed is when it has basically become part of the bone..... while I have read a few documents where they tried to bring ankylosed teeth down, they don't have much luck. Please nooo..... don't talk about stuff like that. I got my oral surgeon appointment tomorrow, to give me a better idea. Then ...

I'm having the braces treatment where by they are pulling them down. One has come down quite far in 4 months on it's own... the other hasn't moved at all. I had my 2nd adjustment yesterday and they put brackets on the canines with elasticated nylon thread attached to the coils, to try and get thing...

I just wanted to add more encouragement. I wouldn't advocate going into debt that's going to really hurt you, but if you want it and think you can, DO IT. I'm really scared, too, but I know I'll be happy later. Good luck. I've been credit card free for a couple of years. :) The ortho I went to take...

Mine is lying horizontally above the gap and it's been decided by the oral surgeon it shouldn't be exposed or removed! I pray that's not the case with me. On a another note, my wife saw the x-ray and exclaimed, how shocked she was to see a tooth there. She went on to say she didn't think I had a to...

Impacted Cainine

Few questions before I get braces. I have an impacted cainine tooth, my x-ray pic below. http://myos.com/teeth/x-ray.jpg http://myos.com/teeth/teeth.jpg I visited one orthodontist and he expressed concern that it may be fused to the bone as I am 32 years old. How often are impacted teeth fused to th...

Should I jump?

I'm going to try to keep this short. Basically the question should I get braces? My username should say a lot. Here is the low down. My baby cainin (sp?) tooth that never came out, leaving the adult tooth above. The baby tooth began to break apart and decay, thus it was pulled. Guess what adult toot...
