Thanks so much for all your kind words and encouragement! I'm just trying to remember that my orthodontist knows what she's doing and that she wouldn't schedule those appointments closer together if she didn't think it would be enough time.
I'm so glad I found this site!!

Thanks so much for letting me know! I know I'm probably just overly paranoid, but I just want everything to happen on time. I've waited long enough to get braces... I just want to get the ball rolling! Hopefully I'll have enough time between leaving work and getting to the ortho's to have some lunch...

Based upon the experience some people have, only four days may be considered a late Christmas gift. I'll drink to that, iBorg !! I'm not complaining about lack of time as far as pain goes... I just want to make sure they're in long enough to do the job! I don't want to go in on the 11th expecting t...

Time between spacers and getting braced
Hello all, My ortho's office called today to reschedule my appointment to get spacers. Originally I was getting the spacers in on Jan. 5th and banded on Jan. 11th. Now they've pushed back my spacers appointment to Jan. 7th but the banding date stays the same. Does this seem like a very short amount ...

Ok, I just read your post about getting the toothbrush stuck in your braces at work. Seriously... I have not laughed THAT hard in so long. LOL I think I laughed so hard not only because it was so hilarious, but also because I can totally see this happening to me once I get braced. Thanks for the goo...

Ok, so, I just sat here for about an hour and a half and read through your blog. It's awesome to see how much progress your teeth have made in such a relatively short amount of time!!! My b-day is January 11, 2008 (which seems so far away ) and I can only hope that I have half the progress you have ...

My braces will be $4,000. This includes my records appointment, an estimated 12-18 months of treatment, and my retainers. I did quite a bit of research, and finally decided to go with my ortho for two reasons: 1. The doctor and her staff are all really friendly, and I feel very comfortable in the of...

Hey there... I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted back in August. Now, while my experience may have been a little different since the bottom two were impacted and had to be cut out, I can say that I went with the IV sedation to have them removed. Not so much for the pain factor, but because I'm ...

Kerry- Be careful drinking ANYTHING through a straw after your wisdom teeth are out! I had all 4 of mine removed back in August and my oral surgeon warned me not to use a straw, smoke, or do anything that required a sucking motion for at least a week and a half. The force inside your mouth that is c...

Thanks so much!!! I'm just so nervous about it all... I'll be 25 next month and I feel like a teenager all over again. LOL I know I have a few cavaties that need to be filled before the braces go on, which I'll have to get taken care of in early December. After that... I guess it's just waiting for ...
