Some think i'm nuts doing this

Ok so today I was with some family members and to my horror I was asked "why the hell did you get braces at your age" I said to this person "I thought it was quite obvious why, I wasn't blessed with nice teeth and thought it was time I did something about it" then I was asked &qu...

I clench my teeth at night, never did before. I have a big overbite ATM and I am hoping this will cease when my teeth are better positioned in time.

I have these too and yes it's very arkward to eat most days. These wires are designed to straighten when heated (to take natural form) and work 24/7, this is why they straighten teeth so well. My teeth have moved alot already, so I am happy, even though I have some discomfort.

Wearing a retainer is a must. I also know lots of people who's teeth have gone back because they did not wear their retainer. Maybe as an adult we might be a little more carefull and responsible enough to do as we are told, after all it's our decision and our own money not our parents.

Hi guys thanks so much for your advise and imput. I will try and cut back on the brushing and rinse in between meals. I just dont like the idea of food being stuck on my braces and even worse someone seeing this! :)

Hi Guys, I am asking this question because I think I may be going overboard. My ortho told me that I should be brushing 3 times a day, well for me I did this pre braces so this was not anything new. Nowdays I am brushing 6 to 7 even eights times in one day. Also I use a peroxide based mouthwash twic...
