I get them on in a week and was told it will be 18 months give or take. Half nervous half excited at the moment.

I was just wondering how soon after braces on I'll be able to eat like normal? I'm going on holiday a week after I get my braces on and I'm hoping to enjoy my food especially as I haven't and probably wont have eaten any solid food between wisdom teeth out on the 13th and getting braces on the 28th....

I've got a large overjet an I'm being treated without extractions too. I think it depends on how much room you have to move the teeth already in the arch. I keep thinking the same as you that maybe it won't give such a good result but I guess we have to trust that our orthos know what they are doing...
