I have the exact same issue, a crossbite with my left 1st molars. they are meeting point to point now so i have an open bite on my left side. I can't wait till it shifts more.

Mine sees patients monday through thurs, I'm not sure if they are open on fridays or if they just do lab work. All i know is i can never get a friday appointment.

I've heard it said by some knowlegable ppl around this board that retainers can fix minor issues w/out needing to be fully braced. I don't know this from experience though. The only way to know for sure is to have a consult with an ortho. Most of them do those for free.

My wires seem to do this alot. Also if the wire seems to be growing out of the back then it may be from your teeth straightening.
