If your ortho is not comfortable with doing the extrusion, Carolina....there is something (that I can't remember the name of!) that actually trims your gums, exposing more of your teeth....a lot of people do this for cosmetic reasons, and it would make your teeth appear larger. Gingevectomy thanks :)

I had (well have) a deep bite, and my ortho checked my bite while sitting upright, but not nearly as often as laying down. Maybe it was a coincidence? hmm...docs?

I, too am scared of cavities (well, actually the dentist's needle!).....There is not a reasonable chance that they will pull your tooth out with the molar band, or the bracket because part of the tool that they use holds your tooth down, whilst pulling the piece off. Good luck! Don't worry :D

I actually got my impressions taken a week before debanding, so the retainers were ready immediately....This sounds like an unfortunate situation, frozenx :( However, a week isn't too bad, others have had their impressions taken later. Since you have already called the ortho (done the best that you ...

In the 2 years of my treatment (including pre-post braces), my ortho has never once cancelled on me. However, my dentist did once (I didn't mind  ), he had the stomach flu.
