Yeah my ortho told me we could use the same wire if it wasn't too deformed, but mine was out of shape so she popped in a new one.
I love it that things move so quickly in the first few months! =)

Thanks for the reassurance Ken. It is looking better overall, and I think I am just scrutinizing too much. =)

And yes, so far my adjustments are about once a month, Cosmo, I assume yours is too?

Haha! Everything said thus far is so funny but so true! Don't: - say "2 years???!!!!" Do: - tell me that my teeth have moved! One of my colleagues told me "wow your teeth have really moved a lot!" and I was thrilled to bits! - tell me that you are envious that I didn't have to ha...

yeah the chapstick thing. I've decided to just apply the chapstick on both lips rather than try to rub them together! :P

Hey! I didn't have molar bands, but I too couldn't chew anything in the 1st couple of weeks either, coz of the molar buildups. What I did was to use my tongue to mash stuff against the palate (which got a bit sore but not severe). I frequently had soup, and I dunked bread into the soup till it was m...

Yes cosmo, having a supportive partner makes the journey all the more bearable. Mr Bee has been really sweet throughout this time, he went on a soft diet with me when my teeth were so tender after they were first put on. And funny thing is, since I've been taking so many pictures of my teeth, he sta...

Hey Ken, They really are a little longer than the middle incisors - some of my friends have commented too. But one of them who's had braces before told me that the brackets would be adjusted to even out the length in future. So I guess I'll just confirm that during my next appointment. Congrats on y...

Your teeth are lovely! The arch is rounding out so nicely! It's funny you brought up Julia Roberts, I was just thinking the other day: what is it that makes her smile so distinctive? Is it because her lips stretch very far laterally to show her teeth? Or is it that her arch is flatter than usual, so...

Hmm, I've got a question, hope one of you can help. The elastics (hooked from the upper lateral incisors to the lower molars) are pulling my teeth back, but I think it's also causing the incisors to be getting longer, such that the lateral incisors are now visibly longer than the middle ones. Is tha...

Oh is it possible to discuss with your orthodontist if you want to keep the braces on longer? I don't suppose there's much harm in keeping them for just a few more months?
