I have 3 sets of Essix retainers. All were pressed at the same time, and all 3 give me different bites. I usually switch them every month or so but if I did every day, my teeth would be loose!

My ortho grinder my clear damons down after he put them on my teeth. Not sure if that was to make them smaller or to remove sharp edges. You’ll get used to them in about a week

I can see that your midline is slightly off, but your teeth are very straight. Looks great! It’s very minimal. Very hard to notice.

I was just debonded today and am wearing the Essix retainers. I can’t close my bite all the way because of the way my back molars interlock. Within a week I saw my lower incisors starting to straighten out. You’ll notice results soon. If you feel the pain, they’re moving.

I use mouthwash every night after I brush, and before I put my Essix retainers in. No matter what you’re going to taste the mouthwash, unless you rinse with water after.

I had 6 ceramics on the upper 6 front teeth and they were hell getting off. The metal ones came off so quickly with just a slight pull. No pain. The ceramics were stubborn and cracked apart. Interproximal reduction (IPR). No pain. Maybe a little sensitivity but I had it done to remove black triangles. I had no pain or sensitivity but everyone is different. The gaps closed up in a few weeks.

Self ligating brackets are the damons. I had them off a few months ago. They advertise as less pain, but I guess it depends on the person.

Sorry to hear about your jaw. I had the Damon system with the top 6 ceramic braces too.
