Beth, I asume your on the NHS? I know what you mean about waiting, my original timeline was that surgery would be summer of 2006, so thats 1 and a half year off. Though to be fair I think I was still growing at that point. But still, they like to keep us on our toes!

I had BSSO 5 weeks ago and my bottom lip is still a bit puffy and so it also feels wierd. I find that its quite hard to 'move' like Arvensis said. It must be pretty normal then, I'm just hoping my lip will return back to normal.

I got my date about 3 months in advance and returned to work/college 4 weeks after surgery. Though half term was tagged on the end so I had an extra week than I really needed. 2 weeks may be fine but be prepared that you may not feel up to it 14 days post-op.
