I'm sorry to hear that you're in pain :(
To be honest though, I'd trade some pain for even one day without braces!

Do you have any toothpaste for sensitive teeth? Here in UK we have Sensodyne (spelling?) which I use from time to time when things are sore. It helps quite a lot.

Good luck! :)

4 Month Braceaversary! And I'm not too happy :( It really seems like there has been no change at all over the last month. Nothing was done to the top at my last adjustment, and the bottom has Mr Twisty... Mr T is still not untwisting, but he is moving outwards! I think I should have had a pwerchain...

Hey just cought up on your story. Your progress is looking good :) When I bite down on these tilted teeth, they feel weak. It feels like each bite is pressing my front teeth farther forward. I feel like if my teeth were more upright, they'd be stronger to bite on. I don't know if that made sense. Ma...

Thanks for all your nice comments :) I had my 2nd adjustment yesterday. He said there was nothing to do on the top other than swapping the ligs, because we're waiting for the bottom to get into shape. I've now got a wire tie around half of the bracket on Mr. Twisty and around arch wire, which pulls ...

:-)o 3 Month Braceaversary! :-)o Its been another month already, and I have to say I'm really pleased with the movement on the top :D The bottom is not really playing ball though, especially Mr. Twisty :( Here's some progress pics... http://www.zen103585.zen.co.uk/rob/braced_top_23_06_08.jpg brace d...

You don't? Hmm well I do! look at the pics in the first post, and look at the top arch on our left. Notice how much straighter that #4 is. There is a noticable change on the bottom too. 1,2,3 on the left are more in line. :) Perhaps the changes are not as dramatic as have been seen for other people,...

To be totally honest, I would have been happy with your pre-brace arches! But now they look amazing! :D

You're right, I'm sure. I'll approach it that way at my next adjustment :) I play many different styles on my trumpet, ranging from work in the orchestra pit in musical shows, marching band at the head of parades to playing a cornet in my local brass band. The brass band itself had quite a variety o...

Yea fascinating, and anoying at the same time. Recently my right molars are touching before anything else. It feels strange, but I think its settling again. I might have to call my ortho because he seems to be moving my front top teeth quite far forward, I guess to clear the bottom bra...

Congratulations on your new(ish) braces, thay look great :) The others who have posted are correct, the pain is normal and will subside. It effects people differently of course but its also pretty common for your teeth to take turns being loose as they move. In my opinion it makes sense too :) I not...

Firstly, congratulations on getting braced and seeing movement! Its such a great feeling when you can see it working isn't it? :D Although I'm no expert, I think the amount of pain you were in during your 1st emergency visit is much greater than you would have at a regular adjustment, because your t...

Yes, definate movement! For me, its most noticable in your last pics, loking up at the top arch. It does look like your right canine has moved a bit and the lateral incisor has come forwards.

Its great when you see movement isn't it?

Go teeth go! :D

Really sorry to hear about your windom tooth! One of mine has also come through and a really really hope it doesn't get infected too! To be honest though, even if it does have to come out, it not that big of a deal even though its a very scary thing to think about. I'm betting the anticipation of th...
