I think I got bruxism from braces. I grind and clench now and need a superior repositioning splint at night to retain the results and protect the teeth from grinding and clenching.

I remember trying to bite into bread the a day or two after having my teeth braced. I saw stars. It hurt so bad. Then a few days later it went away.

I found once the pain from adjustments went away... pain didn't return until the next adjustment appointment.

It has been 5 years since I had them... could have blocked it out.

Once the pain is gone... you won't have any until after your next adjustment.

When I had braces I had all the brackets applied, but only received an upper archwire. When they put the lower archwire in a month later I thought is was much more painful. Not sure why lower braces tend to be more painful.
