Just got back from getting my rubber bands cut! It feels so much better. I can now get talk (still not great with new rubber bands in) and I'm making mac and cheese for lunch. Very exciting :)

Tomorrow I am getting my bands cut so I can start chewing soft foods. I am really getting sick of liquids. Unless I'm drinking something, I constantly have a tiny feeling of nausea and it makes me not want to eat or drink, so I haven't been taking in much compared to what I should be. Also I'm scare...

Your pics look great. I too hated profile pics of myself before. My chin is tingly too and feels weird when things touch it. Did you get your bands cut so you can start eating soft foods? Sounds like it. Have you noticed not being able to move your neck very much, especially upwards? I feel like my ...

well I'm 3 days post op and I started breaking out yesterday I think. Nothing major but since I haven't washed my face yet I guess I am to blame :). And yes my face was quite greasy after surgery.

Well my teeth were pretty much perfect before my surgery (3 days ago). They wanted to make sure everything was aligned correctly so they could position the jaws accurately. I'm sure there were be minor tweaking once I heal, but probably not too much.

Hey there. I'm on day 3 post op and was wondering how easily you are able to get liquids down? It was easy for me in the beginning but I think my gums have have gotten swollen as it's much harder now. The only things I've been able to get down are gatorade, chicken broth, ensure and some fruit smoot...

Well it's day 3 post-op. Things are coming along slowly. I am really looking forward to Wednesday when they cut my bands and I can start eating normally! So excited :D. The night at the hospital wasn't so fun. Things got better when I got home though (staying with my parents). I've been using zip-n-...

Acne and surgery?

I have mild acne and am working on improving it now, but I am wondering if anyone has had any kind of reactions to surgery, like from being swollen, or from the medication, or anything else?

I visited the surgeon today. He said we will not have to do upper surgery, which was originally planned. Which means, one less day in the hospital, surgery time is cut in half, and faster recovery. Yay! So I am having lower jaw shifted forward and genioplasty. I visit the ortho on Monday to get my s...

ThinK's Braces & Surgery Voyage

I figured I'd start my own topic here instead of randomly polluting other threads. I got my braces on in July 06 and now am scheduled for surgery January 30 - 2 weeks! I am having lower jaw advanced, upper jaw tilted downward I believe, and genioplasty. I was supposed to have my pre-surgery meeting ...
