I've been asking for acupunture in my area (singapore) .. there are plenty given it's an asian country.. but i heard it hurts a bit and i'm not sure if it'll really work... maybe cranio sacral therapy might? but i don't know of anyone who does that work...

I gave it a try(went 4 times) but it didn't do anything. I've been going for cranio-sacral therapy and it's triggering small improvements. Has anyone tried acupunture to improve ur numbness after jaw surgery? Most notably in lower jaw... after about a year of insignificant improvement from the numbness...

I have heard acupuncture is quite reliable.

Yup, my ortho also said every night forever ..

The lower wisdom tooth is stil inside my mouth and i didn't bother to take it out .. yet.

I still have numbness in my entire lower lip and chin.. almost reaching 1 yr post-op...

Any suggestions to improve numbness?

I'm close to 1 yr post op and my entire lower lip n chin still feels quite numb...

i specifically reminded them to remove it (if needed) before i wake up.. i didn't ask if they actually had one put in during surgery. i also did double jaw op.

I'm on plastic Essix retainers.. the only major disadvantage is u've got to brush ur teeth clean before u put it on , cos the retainers completely covers the teeth.. so if the teeth is not cleaned , it will decay like mad!

Btw, can one eat wif the hawley retainers on??
