Hmmm... apparently I cannot do any of the stuff I'd mentioned in my last post for 24 hours. The After Your Dental Procedure leaflet which I just received with my two new holes states, among other things:

- Do not Spit
- You may rinse with warm salt water starting at 24 hours after the procedure

Well, according to some replies in another thread and then a returned call from my ortho's office, I shouldn't be worried about anything. Apparently it makes little difference (at least in my case, as well as some others') whether the aligners are closed off at the end or open ended. On that note, I...

Thanks minlou. :) Update and question... My dentist's office called this morning. They have received the letter from the perio instructing them to extract the two remaining wisdom teeth. Aside from the typical separation anxiety panic, I have one major concern. The impressions taken for Invisalign a...

So, diehard, you never told us how it went? Was it a bit of a struggle, or did things turn out okay and easier than expected?

Minlou, aside from the alignment correction you're undergoing, your teeth look like they are in fantastic shape! I'm ashamed to say I'm a bit jealous. LOL

Your braces look good. Here's to time flying by. :)

Alcohol-free mouthwash recommendation?

I've been using original Listerine for quite some time now and am beginning to suspect that it is having a negative effect on my gums. A few weeks back, after getting a bit of education on this site, I purchased Oral-B daily mouthwash with fluoride. I used it for a while, then stopped. What I notice...

I found a succinct page on the subject of the type of periodontal disease treatment which my perio was trying to explain to me. With pictures, no less! LOL. Sorry, I'm not sure about others, but I'm a visual learner. The more images, the better. http://www.aspenperio.com/periodontaldisease/overview....

Al's Invisalign Blog

Hello, I'm going to try to keep updates and a bit of a conversation in the forum diaries/blogs here, and have decided to join many of you in setting up a separate and independent journal as well. Lucky for me, I had this weekend off, so I spent a bit of time over the last two days slapping together ...

Al's (with the little L) Invisalign De-crookedification

Allo allo again, everyone! My 'appliances' treatment will not commence until August, but I thought I might as well begin documenting my journey now, as it has already taken some unexpected turns. Mainly, in the direction of gum treatment and extractions. Two of the orthos I visited during my discove...

Hien, I wouldn't panic just yet. From your photo, it looks (to my non-professional eye) like a competent orthodontist should be able to give you the smile you're looking for. Speaking of competent orthos, I think it wouldn't hurt to seek out a third opinion, preferably from an orthodontist who can o...

Woohoo, another Ontarian! Quick, Anne, let's buy this place while our dollar is high. LOL

Anne, as mentioned earlier, I'll be happy to document my journey once it begins. Round-1 is scheduled for August 7th.

Enjoy the thunder showers today!

diehard, no, I am not a writer. Thanks for the compliments though, everyone. I believe everyone thinks in pictures, myself included. I actually wish Sesame Street style learning went all the way through twelfth grade. Maybe I would have passed chemistry then, because text sure didn't do much for me ...
