vaseline and Benefit lipgloss do the trick for me

KK is right. It's best to stay hydrated. I try to drink about 2-3 litres/day and find it makes a big difference. Vaseline is also good to use as a lip balm and it seems to last longer than the chap stick stuff.

Good luck WFS! I've got the Damon3 braces on top and bottom and my ortho is saying I should be able to avoid extractions as they can slenderise the teeth where necessary. I hope that works out for you too. Look forward to hearing how your journey goes.

I'm feeling a lot more optimistic after reading these replies as I thought I'd be on the soup and oatmeal diet the next 14 months. It's just been a week but I find it uncomfortable eating what I did pre-braces but hopefully I'll get used to chewing again. I'm craving pizza big time

Has anyone come across the ortho brush heads for the electric toothbrushes? I've checked Boots and Superdrug but with no success. I've been using the Tepe brushes until I can find one.

Hello kaisersosa, Good to see another member here from the UK! I've only had my top brace on for a week but I know what you mean about checking in the mirror for changes.
