I have the exact same situation as you! I'm 27 and like you my bottoms are straight but my top were misaligned, and to get everything perfect I would need surgery on lower jaw to bring it forward. so I got braced on the top but it will also leave me with an overbite. the braces have not been on too ...

I have an appointment tomorrow with the dental higenist for a thorough cleaning, and was wondering if it will hurt, ??? what is it like??should I take a painkiller beforehand?

wow KK that is fantastic progress, your teeth are looking very good, and isn't it amazing the way not just your teeth but your whole mouth/lips seem so different. A bit more relaxed or something. You must be delighted with your progress
