Yellow Teeth - EW!

I haven't posted in a while. Things are going well and I can't complain. That is except that my teeth are turning very yellow right underneath where my brackets end!!!! Above they look find but below, yellow!!! I brush constantly. What can I do? Do I just have to wait until my braces come off and th...

Elle, if you decided to switch to Invisalign would you have to pay double?? That's crazy! I think you will get used to the braces in due time. It took me two weeks and I'm smiling like I've always have. I have one tooth that was extracted right in the middle of my lower set of teeth a...

It sounds like there's hope! If your new perio is measuring less than the other one I would get yet another opinion.

I would def hold off on having any extractions unless you feel confident that that's what is needed. Get more opinions (it would be worth it).

Since I got my braces I clench my teeth all the time. I imagine it can't be good and I often wonder if it'll make the braces less effective. I think a mouth guard would take care of the problem at night.

Hi, newmetal! I had an extraction that is very noticeable. I've gotten used to it now. At first, I didn't want to be seen in public. LOL! KK shared this link with me and you might find it helpful. http://www.public.iastate.edu/~lora/braces.html She had an extraction too (where I had mine) and her's ...

All metal is cute as hell 8) but if you do go all metal I would pick some light bands. I first requested silver bands and oh my gosh did I look like I had a platinum grill. Anyways, I had them change them out to a clear and it gives it a softer look. I like them.

Well, I've had mine on for 2 weeks now and I think I'll always be aware of them on my teeth until the day they come up. Think about it, we really do have a mouth full of metal and so it's natural that we're going to speak differently. All in all, it isn't that bad. I mean the advantag...

I think you should do it. This will be a good lesson in growing up. Let your mom deal with her own reaction. That will be her problem. You're the one who has to see your smile every day and it isn't about vanity. It's about changing the things you can and accepting the things you can'...

My insurance pays $1000 so my portion is $2954 that I'm paying $123 for 24 months. Not bad, I thought. Also, I got a 2nd job (I know I'm crazy) and I will have insurance there too. Had I known I would've waited because I think most orthos will accept both plans at the same time. oh ne...
