Decided to get the root canal. It's been almost about 2 years now and the tooth still is sensitive to pressure and cold. I've been to 3 dentists and they can see nothing wrong with it. I hope it doesn't have to be extracted =\...

try something like efferdent...the fizzy tablets that you can soak them in overnight..

ur ortho may have missed some glue...

some orthos also tell their patients to go and get a dental cleaning after their braces are off...

i will ask my old and new ortho to share the site with their other patients...

i had an essix designed to move a tooth back into place...it usually helps when you wear it 24/7 for about a month. So try that, and if the tooth is problem, go back to you ortho and see if he can make a new retainer or put a slight bump in the old one...if u see the tooth getting worse, go back to ...

does ur retainer still feel tight when you put it in at night? if it does, I guess the 24/7 may work to push the tooth back in place...otherwise, you can just ask your ortho about it =)

the essix retainer isn't all that much visible...no one really noticed when i had mine in...my best friend saw me when i came out of the ortho's office and asked me why i wasn't wearing my retainer...and my dad thought that it was just my teeth looking whiter...

I had my braces removed almost 8 years ago. They were used to fix some crowding and to make space for an impacted upper canine. Now the canine has been moving inwards and touching my lower canine.
