I used to have pretty bad TMJ pre-braces but now I've barely noticed any cracks when I eat or yawn (I've also been very weary of it)

Sometimes there can be delays from what an orthodontist would have initially estimated, perhaps just have a look if they are reasonable - is it a compliance issue or is it that the teeth aren't moving as what was expected by the orthodontist?

Remember not to brush so soon after as acidity makes your enamel weak and brushing will result in brushing your enamel away - wait at least an hour before brushing and always rinse with water.

Just make sure you've checked everything and you're happy - look for any opposing reasons as to why you shouldn't be taking it off just yet. Better safe than sorry otherwise go for it :)

My face hasn't got thinner either but it has got skinnier due to weight loss from loss of appetite every time we have to get our braces tightened :C Haha

I got braces 4 months ago, I am currently 22 and expected to wear it until the age of 25. A long way to go!
