Two professional whitening treatments in one year is usually fine. Especially if it's a one day treatment. Was this in office, or a take home system?

Pretty much all regular dentists push Invisalign, because they don't really need to be specialized to handle them. Really, all the doctor does is the initial scan. So he's saying that he can fix it without surgery with invisalign, but with traditional braces, he'll need to perform surgery after? So the moral of the story seems to be: Get an initial consultation. If they say "Wow! Surgery needed!" you've got your person. If not, go for a consultation with a different doc, and they'll probably be in the surgery camp.
