Re: waiting for refinements and wearing aligner at night only

I would think just at night would be ok if thats what your ortho suggested. However it sounds like the aligners you have are just basically retainers, so if you wear them all the time there would be no harm in it.

Re: What are power chains used for other than closing gaps?

consider yourself lucky if you aren't in pain. Just wear them as your ortho prescribed. I'm sure they are doing their job.

Re: When did you start noticing changes after getting braces?

I hardly saw any movement on the top teeth, but within a week once the bottoms went on I was seeing movement. Now we are a few months in and I hardly see anything. I can see my bottoms still wonky but had rectangular wires put in this past week and seems like they aren't doing anything. Bottom 2 mid...

Re: gap created to straighten front teeth?

Sometimes its a case of things get a bit worse before they get better to where they need to be. Regular braces here but I have gaps where I never had gaps before and teeth in places they never have been before but It'll all get fixed.

Re: I have anxiety over cleaning my teeth, please help!

I think you are doing just fine with the brushing and the flossing. Thats about how often I am brushing and I have no issues at all. Maybe swish some mouthwash around if you still feel like you need to.

Re: Tooth Shaving

Girlfriend just had all her bottom teeth done a bit at her last appointment to make space. Just a bit of soreness afterwards (could've been new tray pain as well). Little Ibuprofen and problem solved. Not a big deal at all really.

Re: What to expect during routine appointment?

Ortho will check to see if your teeth are tracking properly vs. the clincheck, if the trays are fitting properly. might do some IPR (shave between teeth to make space) depending on your case. Give you new sets of trays if you don't have them already. Probably in and out in 15 minutes.

I would say as long as you don't try to bite into it right out of the freezer then enjoy them. I know I do. :)

Re: Is invisalign really invisible?

Less visible but not invisible. Girlfriend has Invisalign and I notice it but I also know it's there. I would say most people do not though and honestly most people don't care whether you have Invisalign or traditional braces. So if you are debating one or the other just pick whatever one makes you ...
