Re: Paranoia after Double Jaw surgery
How are doing now? You should be 3 months post op now and things should have started to look better even though they look better up till 1 year.

Re: Sinus issues?
One of my complications from the surgery is that my front teeth are closer to my sinus, and when I swallow water through my left nostril, or when i have a cold, I feel an irritating pressure which settles down once the fluid drains. Do you have that feeling? With regards to sinus infections I don't ...

Re: double jaw surgery, open bite and lack of symmetry
I did not have an open bite but I did have a symmetry problem. My friend had a symmetry problem as well. Both of us had a decent level of correction but we are both not perfect. You have to keep in mind that surgeons are limited how to correct the problem... we are not gypsum boards :) I personally ...

Re: Difficulty chewing due to teeth numbness (couple weeks post op)
Relax dear ... nerve regeneration takes up to 1 year. Unfortunately I did not recover tooth feeling in just 1 tooth. Tbh I don't know whether it was just a dead tooth before surgery, or if it died during surgery, or maybe I just don't feel it as a complication of the surgery .. but in 7 years it nev...

Re: Small upper lip after surgery?
Being a survivor ... I understand you being anxious but please relax and give it time. 3 weeks post op is too early ... the important thing at this stage is recovery and not having any complications. After I read of complications some people experienced I feel really lucky even though I have some mi...

Re: How long after surgery was it until you liked your new face?
I was very conscious with the fact that I did not feel normal. Whereas most people have a lower jaw that closes under the upper jaw, mine was half and half. After surgery I simply felt normal and that was enough for me even though it took me 6 months to settle down my look. Can you maybe post before...

Never heard of these clips. Do you have any side effects from the surgery? like numbness or higher sensitivity in some areas?

Re: Updates after a botched surgery and Ask for suggestions
I think it depends if it affects your functionality. You don't look bad at all in my opinion even though it may not be the ideal result. I definitely wouldn't go through it again .... your bite looks quite decent. Remember that some surgery complications like alter sensations and numbness might make...

Re: double jaw surgery ruined my face?
devastated your appearance will settle down up till 1 year. I am 7 years post op and I am happy with the result. But things don't go 100% smooth. For example my nose cartridge was moved to the left and it affected by breathing through my nose. This was fixed 2 years post op by fixing my nose cartrid...
