Re: How to stop worrying about the outcome?

The ortho will make your teeth look amazing , I don't know what the issue is with your jaw but if it's just a over bite then really think carefully before having the surgery if you are happy with face already

Re: My daughter had double jaw surgery and it has all gone wrong!

Hi Sammy , I have just had a reversal so it is possible BUT it's a lot more complicated with more risks . No surgeon is going to operate you back to a bad bite , they will label you as having bdd or similar so be careful how your word this . Be very clear about what you don't like, saying I miss my ...

Re: My daughter had double jaw surgery and it has all gone wrong!

Yes they are not moving it forward just straight down and ever so slightly back which will make my chin go back slightly with the rotation. It's a bone substitute they are using. Trying to completely reverse the impaction that shouldn't have been carried out. I did babe the option of using the NHS w...

Re: Reversing jaw surgery: has anyone ever heard of this?

Think I may have spoken to you before , I have the same thing that you don't see my upper teeth and only the lower . The impaction was over done , really if it's the same for you then the upper needs to come down, I wouldn't start asking for them to the do the lower as well , as your upper jaw comes...

Re: Reversing jaw surgery: has anyone ever heard of this?

I'm having mine reversed , I had a impaction that has left me with maxillary hypoplasia (short upper jaw) so
You no longer see my upper teeth. It's going to be complicated and comes with risks but it's not right so what option do I have .

Re: Over-impacted upper jaw?

I have def been over impacted, I have seen a lot of other surgeons for opinions and they have all Said the same. I'm having a revision to bring it down again, they will use plates to hold which is standard now and also a inter positional graft to stabilize it .

Re: Over-impacted upper jaw?

Can you live with it the way it is? It can be bought back down but it's complicated to do so. Have you told him how unhappy you are with it ?

Re: Shortening the midface on a non-gummy smile?

Please please do NOT ever have a impaction done, as someone that's had one the results can be truly awful, it's made me look old with no tooth show and I'm having a revision and graft to correct it . It ruins your face don't do it

Re: Over-impacted upper jaw?

Not another one that's been over impacted , I have been as well and am in contact with lots of others . Will it get better , probably not as a impaction doesn't really relapse . Do you now show a lot of lower tooth when speaking ? I am having a revision to bring it down again which is complicated an...
