Re: Complications post op... another surgery.

Today I finally had my braces removed. The last month was brutal with elastics however well worth it. I just have that clear retainer I have to wear for my upper teeth for 24 hours for a month after that it will just be for sleeping. So my whole process was actaully just short of a 2 years. Feb 15 I...

Re: Complications post op... another surgery.

Nice! Hopefully that's the last thing for you. They have you using elastics or anything? Have you noticed any relief on that tenderness yet? No elastics or anything. Im at the tail end of ortho treatment i have 4 more appointments the last one being in mid feb. My teeth in my opinion look great the...

Re: Complications post op... another surgery.

Hey im back, it was actually a lot better than i thought. They gave me an IV and i was pretty much out. I dont remember anything. So they removed a peice of bone I actually got to keep it, along with the screw that was holding it there. They did a bonegraft and everything should be fine. I feel fine...

Re: Complications post op... another surgery.

So just over 2 weeks post op number 2. My mouth has been wired shut this time around and it's horrible. I see my surgeon Tuesday. Re: How long did you wear braces before Surgery?

I just had a lefort 1 and bsso and waited a year after my SARPE for the second one. So like everyone said it will depend on your ortho at this point. They will know when you're ready for surgery.

Re: Summer 2016 Surgery Buds

It's just weird in my case it was only 1 plate out of 6 total. It can happen i guess most likely I did something to cause the Healing process to mess up. I just saw he new xray and now there is a big long plate in there. And he cleaned out all the infected junk so should heal properly now. I'm also ...

Re: Summer 2016 Surgery Buds

Maybe it's just me but after having 3 jaw surgerys now I can reflect a little. I have found all 3 or surgerys to be for the most part painless.. narcotics were prescribed but defiantly not needed. I'm a glad because I would rather stay away from heavy drugs. The first week after the double jaw was m...

Don't sin too much or you might be like me and end up having a second surgery. Probably started chewing food a little to soon.

Re: Complications post op... another surgery.

Yeah but I don't remember anything that could have caused it directly. Anyway my second surgery is done. I was walking around hours after. No pain. I feel 99% minus having a IV in my foot during surgery was weird seeing them take it out. The surgery wasn't very long. He put a bigger thicker plate wi...
