Re: Please, anybody's Have Pre-existing fatigue improve AFTER?

I had my surgery in April. I'm just now getting to feeling almost normal. It's a hard few months to go through. Good news, my airway went from 3 mm to 15 mm. No more snoring, no more sleep apnea. I'm sleeping better Don't need cpap anymore. Something to think about is when you have chronic sleep pro...

Re: Got my surgery

Yes, anytime. On the 21st it will be 3 months for me. I haven't had any post op complications, but now my chin throbs. Tingling, burning, stinging is how I can describe it. I'm grateful because it means tbe feeling is coming back, but it does hurt. My chin and upper roof of mouth and lower lip still...

Re: Got my surgery

I went back after that post and he changed me to Tylenol 3, which is a lot milder than the Norco I was on. I've also been taking ibuprofen round the clock. He said i could take that along with the other. At five weeks I was out of pain med and didn't ask for more. Just needing ibuprofen still, espec...

Re: Sore lip after BSSO

4 weeks after my chin is numb, my upper lip is stinging, both lips very dry, can't feel my nose, gums can't feel parts, I'm just extremely uncomfortable. Taking Tylenol 3 at night and tons of ibuprofen. Wonder how long this lasts. Each day is a tiny bit better than the day before. Swelling not bad. ...

Re: Energy

My surgeon told me I'd be very weak for a month due to the surgery, diet change and hormone change. I had never heard of hormone trouble after surgery. I'm at 4 weeks and still very weak. Have to rest a lot and not back to work yet. I'd say eat as much nutrition as possible. I'm eating lots of organ...

Re: Healing fast!

Seems like the 2nd week worse than the first. Seems like healing going so slow. I'm very weak, maybe from losing weight. The doctor said I'd be weak for a month. Anybody else have that too?

Re: Increased mucous since surgery

It's only two weeks for me but am having a stuffy nose. I have a humidifier which helps. I hope this doesn't last long.

Re: How long do you need pain meds

He says soft chew for 4 months, but since it hurts to chew I'm doing only liquids. But he said refried beans, soft whatever. They served me mashed potatoes and other soft food in hospital. Basically soft puree. So it does increase my pain when I do chew. So better learn to like smoothies more. I thi...

Re: How long do you need pain meds

Wow, seems like you're doing a lot better than I. I'm having constant throbbing in my chin and my teeth hurt, they ache like the ortho just tightened everything, and when I try to eat anything but liquid that hurts too. But I am 57, maybe that has something to do with it. Also not sleeping well.

How long do you need pain meds

How long did it take to get off pain meds? I had my surgery April 21. I'm still in a lot of pain. I am trying to use hydrocodone only at night so I won't run out. I see my surgeon Monday so will talk to him about it. Just wondered what others experience is. Now lots of stinging and tingling but I pe...

Re: Oral Surgery and Sleep doctors

I got my surgery done April 21 for severe OSA. I think it worked but I'm sleeping on my back propped up. Can't use the cpap. I put it up, yay!

Both my ENT and sleep doc think I'm nuts

Re: Should I buy a recliner to sleep on?

Thanks Jaime. I read your whole blog and it's been so helpful. I also watched your videos and just knowing what to expect takes away a lot of the fear. I ordered that wedge from amazon and they sent me the wrong one. It's the 7 inch one. So trying to decide whether to send it back or make it work by...

Re: Should I buy a recliner to sleep on?

Thanks snap. Did you carry your wedges back and forth between the bed and the couch? I really can't see me staying in my bedroom all day. Maybe I'll just get another wedge.

2. First one I picked but decided to get a second opinion.
It's wisdom.
