That does seem strange. I see my orthodontist every visit. Like the others said, the assistant does most of the work, but the orthodontist evaluates progress and decides on wire etc..

I am 44. Just got my braces June 6 uppers unsure when the lowers will go on.

That sounds a bit steep for only 6 months. I would definitely shop around.
I believe generally, the package deal for one total price. I have not seen or heard of a practice that gives breakdown.

I have 0 waxed today. But the day is not over. They feel much better today, kinda getting used to the braces. I maxed out at 4 waxed on Saturday though.

Rinse, Brush, Floss, Brush, Rinse, Rinse.

At least one rinse with warm salt water.

Congrats and good luck. My braces go on tomorrow. Excitement and anxiety. I will just be glad to get the spacers out!!

Carmex is always been the best for me.

I'm getting my braces on this Friday! I have spacers now though and they are causing great soreness. I fear this soreness will not go away soon enough for me to enjoy on good last round with chips cheese dip and salsa.
