Re: Extraction Orthodontic Nightmare
Lots of discussion on this thread, although I'm missing all that the OP posted! Question to the Moderator: Are you able to restore the deleted posts by the OP, so I can see what concerns and issues the mom was seeing with her 16 yr old? This will help me size up the detrimental effects that I should...

Re: Post extractions - Dished in mouth!
Just back from our Ortho visit and here's the update: Since we asked to see him in his office instead of the area where they do adjustments (aka assembly line env), the ortho seemed disturbed/nervous from the start. The front desk said they had already advised him of our request, so not sure why he ...

Can you please mention which teeth of yours were extracted and by any chance do you have a pic of your profile that you can post?

Re: Extraction positives, celebrities with extractions!
Thanks for starting this Angel. This is the kind of stuff I kept mentioning (in the thread that I started) that I wanted to see, so eventually whichever specialist I'm taking my daughter to, I'll be able to tell them that we would like to achieve a revised chin, mouth area similar to these. I had th...

Re: Post extractions - Dished in mouth!
Thanks for posting your pics Angel. I wish more extracted folks on this forum would come forward to post pics of their profile before and after, so it will give me a chance to see not all were affected by extractions, as they grew up. I hadn't heard of Orthotropics until I saw your post, so I went t...

Re: Functional Orthodontics for Traditional Retreatment
... It's so important to find someone you can entrust your health to; good luck finding people you can work with to help fix your issues, when you find the right people their help is amazing. You nailed it, JumpTheDitch! That is the hardest part whether you're starting out with your first or if you...

Re: Post extractions - Dished in mouth!
I saw your pic too, you don't have that downward curve of the lip that I'm seeing in my daughter. Yeah if you have big teeth or a small mouth, it's very likely extractions are the only way and will actually give a great result. I've noticed the space between my nose and mouth has a tiny bit more of...

Thanks Angel, chichi for the celebrity pics.
Angel, I don't want to hijack this thread with my posts (sorry OP), would you mind if we continue in the thread that I created?

Re: Post extractions - Dished in mouth!
Chichi, sorry about that -don't know why I thought you might have a kid getting braces  I saw your signature later on and noticed you're the one with braces, but I didn't have edit options then. Hudson is like so far off for me, otherwise I wouldn't hesitate to go there either. I have an appt ...

Re: Extraction & Braces for Adult
Angel, thanks for posting those celebrity pics. Who's this Stephanie, wow..she's so beautiful IMO. I would've never guessed that these folks would've had any extractions, except may be Kate, but she naturally has a thin upper lip. One similarity between these celebrities seem to be that they have bi...

Re: Extraction & Braces for Adult
Extractions are often necessary and the only way. Most people that have had braces often have extractions and not all experience negative side effects. Or if they do, the positive definitely outweigh it. Difference is the one's that benefited from it aren't going to keep talking about it on the int...

If so, can you please give me the link? I had my child's 4 premolars extracted 2 years ago, and am worried if ...

Forgot to ask, by any chance, did you have any tooth extractions prior to braces?

I tnhink it looks good, sometimes if you feel the canines look big, the dentist or Ortho are able to shave off a little bit.

I really wish someone would be able to revive her deleted posts as I want to see what her concerns were.
Her story is literally EXACTLY the same as yours... teenage daughter, extractions at 12 or 13, mother doesn't like the way the kid's fa...
