Re: Surgery or TADs to fix my open bite?

Hi! First of all, I'm not a professional. I've just read lots of stuff in the last month about orthodontics, because I'm just starting my own treatment. I have a really narrow upper jaw, crowded teeth, overbite, etc. But my ortho don't believes in (or at least tries to avoid) invasive solutions (whe...

Re: ALF Appliance - is anyone having treatment using this ?

Hi, I will get A.L.F. soon, and appr. 6 months later braces, too. I would like to ask you guys, who started 1-2 years ago, what results did you get, were you satisfied, etc. It seems a really good appliance, though there is just little information about them :/
Thanks in advance! :)

Re: Will an expander still work?

I would go with JumpTheDitch on this one. In my (extensive) research ;), I found that many orthodontists believe (and practice) in expansion in later age. It would be worth to try, but sirwired is right, everything depends on what progress you would see in the next x months. Personally I will have a...

Re: Functional Orthodontist anyone? Repositioning the lower

sirwired is probably right, there is no global perfect treatment for everyone. However, it would be worth to consult with your ortho about alternative solutions right now, or if he is not well-qualified in that field, then consult with other orthos also. There are many appliances on the market which...

Re: Profile Changes

I'm not a professional, but I really cannot imagine how this could be look good with teeth-extraction and without no further jaw surgery. Because if your teeth would be pulled back, and your lower jaw would remain where it is now, then what would happen with the (currently beautiful) vertical line f...

Re: What was your deciding factor when choosing an orthodont

Hi, I was also in trouble to choose the orthodontist. Where I live there is one at every corner.. (no joke) However, finally I decided based on the information about them available on the internet. I know, maybe this sounds too newage, but I think it's important. First, I searched for the name for e...

Re: AcceleDent?

I can see, that this topic is a bit abandoned, but I would like to ask you, if maybe meanwhile someone got experience about Acceledent. It looks like I'll have them in 3 weeks, but really don't know what to expect. :) My case is interesting though, because currently I don't get braces, just an A.L.F...

Re: My journey (expander, then braces)

Hi! I'm also an "expander, then braces" case, with a v-shaped upper jaw. :) I would like to ask you about your appliance. I'll get A.L.F. for my upper teeth (on October 7th), and I tried to search about them on the internet, however I haven't found anything interesting about this "exp...
