My Ortho had used the special porcelain glue and did rough up the side of the crown but the bracket still fell off. Best of luck to you hopefully the glue will stick in your case. 8)

I had problems with the bracket sticking to my porcelian crown and my Ortho tried three different glues with the same results so instead he just put a band around the crown. :)

Elastic Torture

Okay I've had braces now for about a year and have put up with all the adjustments, headgear and mouth sores. Well my impacted canine is being stubborn and doesn't want to move so the Ortho has me wearing an elastic to pull it down (okay that's fine) I'm all for it well now the elastic is cutting op...

If you use a waterpik on a speed that is too high may be what is causing your gums to receed. My Orthodontist said this is a big problem and to use the waterpik on medium to low speed.

I use Crest Cavity Protection everyday and three times a week I brush with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda toothpaste to remove coffee & red wine stains. (works really well for that)

I wear clear ligs and powerchains on my ceramics on top and I wear different colored ligs everytime I go for my adjustments on my bottom metal ones. I also like the fact that my top ceramic braces with clear ligs & powerchains are not so noticeable. :D

Hi Dena! :) Yes, my molar with the crown and the improper band was like a weakness/sore. I would try to chew on it and just like you I just couldn't even continue and would have to back out of it and switch to the other side. Boy now that the band got changed to a correct one the soreness is...

Thanks! I went to the Orthodontist last week and mentioned that I was unable to apply any pressure to that one tooth and he did say that it was unusual to still have such a sore tooth. It turned out that the band one of the techs put over the crown was an improper fit  and that was what was c...

I have had my lower braces on since November and every since I had my 2nd molar with the crown banded I have not been able to put pressure (chewing) on it without extreme soreness. I would think that would have gone away by now. Has ...

Hi everyone..... same here, drooling problem only after being braced. :yuck: I have my pillow in one of those pillow case covers with a zipper. Its sort of like a plastic pillow case and then you put you regular pillow case over it. Therefore when you drool only the pillow case gets wet and not your...

Yes, its okay to take daily. :D
My husband and I take it daily and when I have sores from the braces or cold sores then I take it 3 times a day. One with each meal and they heal sooner.
