In my case, it took 1 year to pull the tooth down fully and 1 and 1/2 years to line it up properly with its tooth brothers and sisters. Timing depends on where exactly its located (how far away from its final destination, how far out of the palate its exposed) and your unique speed of tooth movement...

I got my braces off this week as well, just Monday. Best feeling ever not having that hardware any more. Do you know what retainers you're getting?

I'm at the 2 1/2 year and counting stage.

If it’s any consolation, this month I hit 2 and 1/2 years as well. And I was originally quoted at 12-18 months the most!
