Re: Less symmetry post op

Everyone is asymmetrical, though, if you look hard enough.

Yours is in the realm of "I wouldn't notice if you didn't mention it"...even after you mention it I find it hard to see. I think you look good.

Re: Less symmetry post op

Why wasn't your symmetry taken into account?
That seems ridiculous.

Re: Orthognathic surgery/SARPE/Genioplasty/Gingivectomy/Vene

I don't think we can upload photos here. You have to upload to tinypic or imageshack, then copy/paste the link. Your face likely won't widen too much from surgery unless they bone graft the zygomatic arch area. The lower will widen a little as it moves forward, but the upper might not widen at all u...

Re: Orthognathic surgery/SARPE/Genioplasty/Gingivectomy/Vene

Surgically widening the pallet is the most unstable procedure you can do so find a great surgeon. When you bring the mandible forward it should widen a little. I wouldn't rely on braces to fix your overbite. Not if you want good aesthetics. It will have to be done by moving the mandible forward and ...

Don't use silicone.

Re: My Hopeless Situation

The letter I received in the mail from A&G when my insurance denied me said that you owe the hospital fee upon admittance to the hospital. I think non-insurance people pay ahead of time as part of the deal between the hospital and A&G. They worked out this set price for the first night that...

Re: My Hopeless Situation

The consult is still $550. As far as your issues...have you looked into midface grafts? They can graft bone onto the zygomatic arch and other other facial bones that need it. Have any surgeons mentioned a Le Fort II to bring the entire midface out? I don't think procedures like that are available i...

Re: expecting surgery this summer

LeFort 3 is pretty rare.
Probably means 3 piece Le Fort, usually done to fix asymmetry.

Re: Long Thin Face - Options?

Consult with a maxillofacial surgeon.

It is possible to surgically widen the upper jaw. The lower jaw might require grafting of some sort to widen.
