That's quite an innovative idea, but doesn't this retainer irritate the tongue more that the 'regular' one? plus, the standard bonded retainer doesn't "stretch" - with this one I'd be afraid I'd have gaps sooner or later. I have a permanent retainer on the bottom, and removable on top. And...

Check out the cables you got together with the camera. Hopefully one of them will be a TV cable. Mine (Canon) does have it. If you connect your camera to the TV, you'll be able to see better what you're photographing. Also some technical tips - remember the light (sunny days are the best :) ). Also ...

Thank you :) Talking about retainers, I got: - a bonded retainer for my bottom teeth. This one begins at - surprise - my first bicuspids. In other words, it's 8 teeth long. This way we'll hopefully prevent the lower canines from rotating, my ortho said. How I can floss there, I haven't figured out y...

Honestly... what you talk about sounds so strange to me! Going to an ortho is going to a doctor. I feel no other patients should listen about my bite, crooked teeth etc. And fortunately, there are only one-chair rooms at my clinic. There's my ortho, her assistant (always the same, which I like too!)...

Well... If I were you, I... I would just call the ortho's office. They'll either tell you not to worry because it's nothing serious, or (more probably) make an extra appointment for you. Anyway, calling your ortho will surely make you less nervous :-) Don't worry, such things happen.

99 weeks - THEY ARE OFF!!!!!!! :D

I just had my last adjustment, can you believe this? :) I brought a deep-pink rose for the assistant, and an enormous, white rose for my fav ortho! After looking at my teeth for a while, the ortho said: "So, we're taking them off, ok?" "Or maybe you have some Special Wishes, you want ...

Great news, congratulations! :)

At first you'll be counting every single day in braces... then weeks... then you'll have trouble remembering how many months you are into treatment... and then they will be off, sooner than you might think :)

Well, I guess it's the 4 front teeth (literally). Although I admit that would look a little weird to me... 8 front teeth - much better, but do you think an ortho would mention the numer "4" if they had 8 clear brackets in the set? I've heard of people having 6 clear brackets in front, but ...

i know what you're talking about, I have the same thing "on" my canine (see picture: viewtopic.php?t=6334).
I guess it's instead of repositioning the brackets... I guess. ;)

What's it been... over a decade...? /alanis m./

Hello, welcome back! I got my internet connection back and I thought I'd drop in here and have a look at the forum... It seems to me that, after a round number of 654 days in braces, I can consider myself an "oldie" now... any other "oldies" here? As for a short update: I hope to...
