Re: Newbie

Had retainers yesterday...they are evil things 0,o Not only are they a pain to get in...they are even worse to try to get out :L Today going to hunt down some special liquid for keeping retainers clean as don't fancy paying £50 if they break due to lack of cleanliness :)

28/02/2012 - ARGH I forgot to update. So here it is :D I went in, now got to wear elastics to bring the bottom set back a little as he says the pressure on the top will close the gaps. Been estimated to get them off by the summer. We'll see how he sticks to that one considering he say "few more...

Re: Newbie

Re: Is it normal to have the gums sometimes get sensitive?

Completely normal :) My gums can get really angry after an adjustment especially 0,o I asked my hygienist about it (after I had my gum swell down over my tooth) and she said about using an antiseptic mouthwash after each adjustment or visit to her and it really does help to calm it down :)

Re: Newbie

So sorry haven't updated in a while :O Well I have passed my one year of braces and yesterday (22/11/11) had brace adjustment 8 (I think). Brace adjustment 7 (11/10/11) they were trying to close the gaps on the left side of my mouth. I had a mixture of metal power chains and elastic ones. This led t...

Re: Is eating optional after braces

Spacers are the worst part! They were for me anyway 0,o My mouth has gone back to normal eating with the front teeth wise after my adjustment on Tuesday. Re: Newbie

Re: Newbie

You could ring up and enquire about it, as with the lig popping off, there is a chance the wire isn't putting pressure on that tooth. But they may just say to leave it until they see you next :)

Re: elastics and sore teeth

I've had elastics since March the pain did go away after a week at the most. They do get better but then I was having to wear mine 24/7 except when brushing. So my teeth were used to them :D But even if I keep them out for about 15 minutes and put them back on I get a slight pain, but goes within 5 ...

Re: Newbie

Update XD Today went to what would be adjustment 4 XD But no lovely coloured ligs this time. Oh no. Today I had power chains put on -,- No colour choice. Just a skanky clear one going across the top set (across 5 of my teeth anyway) and across the bottom it is literally in two. One going from the ba...

Re: Newbie

Update time :/ Today I went for what I thought would be my 3rd adjustment. To be disappointed to find out I wasn't going to get some new brightly coloured ligs but instead was getting some disgusting elastics which I have to wear 24/7 and only take out and replace once a day when I brush my teeth :(...
