Hey Sophier, the 1st few months are the worst, but once that wire straightens out (which is really quick), it'll be so much less painful. =)
Hang in there, you'll be back on normal food soon!

Re: Ms Bee and her new teeth
Hey Sophier! thanks for the kind words. Nice to have affirmation, and if my ortho is somewhere out there reading this I'm sure she'd be flattered too! You know I dropped by your thread and yes! our teeth do look similar haha! Though I think mine were more rotated, so I'm sure your treatment will be ...

My new teeth
Here're long overdue photos - I was debraced in June! :jump: I use Essix retainers in the day, and Hawley's at night - the comfort of the Essix retainers are unbeatable, but they're really quite fragile: already got a crack in the lower tray last month... http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6158/61817022...

Re: mikesmile's Orthodontic Journey
Hey Mike, congrats on reaching the end of the journey...It's so exciting isn't it!
For some reason, I can't see the pictures of your naked teeth, but I'm sure you've got a lovely smile just based on the ones that you've put up of the final few months!

Re: Ms Bee and her new teeth
Thanks Stepher, I was mentally prepared for 2 years, but when she told me she was gonna put on the "finishing wire" back in October, I could scarcely believe my luck! =)

Re: Finally braced! Progress pics included
Hey thanks for coming over to my thread. Ur pics really show such quick progress!
The first few months are the most painful, but also the most exciting coz they move so much. You'll be amazed at how your arches will round out without you noticing!

Re: May Debraces Club
Mine's May 5th! My ortho thinks my teeth should be ready by then...=)
She seemed rather keen for me to get the bonded retainers for my lower row, but I'm not so sure I can tolerate not being able to floss. I'll go with Essix and Hawley!

End of the road!
Hi everyone! I've got great news! I'm at the end of my treatment! woohoo! :jump: :jump: My ortho says we can aim to deband in May! =) My appointment is in 2 weeks, hope all goes well! Well, there are a few things that I wish could be better - like how I feel my lower lip protrudes more than before, ...

Re: Another braces story
Wow, amazing progress, can't believe it's been only 2 months since your braces have been on!
I also love how neat your progress pics are. It's exactly what I was trying to achieve with my thread, but somehow all the dimensions of my images are unequal so it looks so messy!
Thanks for sharing!

Hey Cathy!
How did the adjustment go? Hope they were gentler this time =)
I'm didn't mention this before, but tour teeth have such a nice regular shape, they'll be so beautiful once the gaps close up! Happy new year, hang in there!

End of 2010!
My adjustment is in 2 days time. Just a couple of photos to document my progress, and to show the regular (non-SL) brackets that were put on during the last appointment.

Re: Does anyone hate adjustments as much as I do?
I'm in the love adjustments camp. I can't wait for the next one to come, and everytime my ortho asks "Is it ok if I upgrade your wire?", I'm like "Yes! Bring it on!". The pain/soreness of the adjustments gets less and less with each appointment, so I'm a happy camper.

Great to know you've already gotten used to the retainers!
I suspect I should be done in a few more months, so I'm happy

7 months!
Had my most painful adjustment yesterday. Some of my brackets were repositioned so that my tooth roots can be rotated. Removing the brackets was awful...She popped off the brackets (pretty ok, not too painful), and then removed the bonding material - man! that was bad. I felt so much pressure on my ...
