It all depend on how good is the os. Mine was good I didnt bleed too much but i had to puke because I had swalloed too much of it. If you follow directive from the os you wont have any problems.

Ice ice baby ! (vanilla ice) lolll Joke. Ice will help alot with swelling. Start with ice and the in a couple of days you can trade ice with hot towel to help circulation. That what i have done when i had sarpe.

I had this problem. They were under the gum and only a small tip of the tooth was peaking thru the gum. I had to have them removed by an oral surgeon. The os removed them under sedation so I dont remember anything beside suddenly waking up and it's over.

Call that lucky if your braces are covered by insurances. Here in canada there are virtually no insurances for that. We have to pay for every single step in braces. There are some exception for surgeries but there are rare insurance policy that covers braces but like i said they are rare.

if it's dry socket there is 2 options ... yo might want to go see your dentist ask him for pain medication or use pain medication suck as advil or aspirin. Dry socket usually heal itself withing 2 weeks. I think i had it. It's really painfull but it goes away by itself eventually

Chances are he will only prescribe you antibiotics. You'll have to take them for a week or so before the abcess disappear. But again i'm not a OS and my recovery went quite well. Everyone has their own way of healing yours is juste slower and different.

All depend on what you mean by healing. If you mean getting back to normal... About 12 weeks. Otherwise a year or so.

I'm canadian as well and that kind of surgery is indeed costly ( well to our point of view it is but from others it's not ) I was also advised that it would cost around 2k. As you said the fist 2k is surgeon's fee and in any cases they wont be covered by insurance policy. To my knowledge there isnt ...
