Hello, I don't think it will be an issue to leave it off for a week. When I first got my braces on the ortho assistant told me not to worry if one or two of them fall off between adjustments, just to make sure I saved it and brought it in next time. I am very lucky that my ortho will fit me in with ...

Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I had localized pain in my front teeth the first couple of months. But after that my teeth straightened out a bunch and the pain has decreased so much. Don't worry it will get better. I was still able to eat most foods I just cut everything into small bites ...

Wow your story makes me appreciate my ortho/dentist even more than I did before. If I have to wait 5 minutes that is very abnormal. If I have any issues (loose molar bands, brackets falling off) I call when they open in the morning and they fit me in within 10 minutes. I would definitely try to find...

Some pics after 9 weeks
Hi everyone I just wanted to share some pics. It's been 2.5 months since I got my top braces and 2 weeks for my lowers. I have seen a ton of movement and I'm so excited to see more. The top photo is at 2 weeks and the bottom is at 9 weeks. http://i29.tinypic.com/dola34.jpg http://i31.tinypic.com/k2o...

The spacers aren't too bad, my mouth is just a bit sore. I'll have them in for 5 days total. The only problem I've been having is that one of the spacers falls out. The same one has fallen out twice, and I've been eating all soft food. I decided to go with the metal brackets because the clear ones w...

Hi Geri I just wanted to comment because I will also be 33 with braces. I just got my spacers in this morning about an hour and a half ago. I'm nervous for the pain, but also very excited to see the final results in a year and a half. The assistant had alot of trouble getting my spacers in and actua...

I don't know if this would be your case, but my ortho told me that ceramic braces would take an extra 6 months. I decided to get all metal because of that. 1.5 years versus 2 sounds so much better. I'm 33 getting braces for the first time, I just got the spacers in today and will get the brackets on...
