I was advised to wear for 2 weeks 24/7 before switching to night wear, but I noticed my retainers would feel rather tight when I put them back in at night (specifically my bottom teeth), so I switched back to 24/7, it's now week 7 and I'm sort of gradually moving away from 24/7 wear. I'd rather be ...

How long did you...
So I was just thinking random thoughts, and I thought I'd pose this question to the retainer-wearing world: How long did you wear your retainer 24/7 before switching to nighttime wear only? -- OR -- How long has your ortho advised you to wear your retainer for 24/7 before switching to nighttime wear...

I was pregnant with braces (ceramic uppers, metal lowers) and had no issues with my teeth being calcium-deprived or anything. Granted, I was also nine months into braces when I became pregnant, so I was already quite used to them. I was also EXTREMELY lucky to not have morning sickness which would h...

I don't have any advice, but I would like to see what answers are posted. I looked at your pictures and my canines were EXTREMELY similar (if not identical) to yours pre-braces. I also had a concern about keeping my canines in their new positions, especially wearing an Essix retainer. I guess where ...

I struggled to plan a small church wedding in eight months, so my hat off to you if you can pull it off in five! :D Honestly, if I just got engaged and knew that I'd still be wearing braces for another year, I'd take that opportunity to plan a fabulous wedding and plan to have a beautiful brace-free...

I guess the clear ones are harder to clean I wouldn't say they are hard to clean, but you do have to be careful with scratching them if you take a brush to them or clouding them up by soaking them in a non retainer-friendly cleaner. For now I'm using a very soft child's toothbrush to get into the t...

Also, my last dental checkup was probably the best ever. I had very little bleeding from the cleaning and my oral health has really improved. My regular dentist was very impressed. I believe this improvement is due to the extra hygiene required with Invisalign. You may find your extra brushing and ...

braceface94 I didn't experience any pain when they removed my brackets. The metals were a breeze, and even the ceramics just involved maybe a touch more pressure, but no pain at all. I also took two Aleve 30 minutes before my appointment as to maybe head off any pain. I also can't answer your quest...
