Congrats on getting to the other side! Things will only get better from here :). 1. I used ice packs for 3 days after surgery and eventually switched to heat. That's what the PA told me to do and so I did it. Swelling peaked at day 3-4 and went down afterwards. 2. I was on a liquid diet for 2 weeks....

I was wired shut for 2 weeks. Talking was difficult. Imagine clenching your teeth together and talking - it's hard to project your voice and annunciate.
