Debanding date: December 16

I am super thrilled that my braces are finally coming off in about 2 weeks. My braces are coming off 6 months earlier than originally planned. I am not sure what type of retainers I will be getting. But, I am due to go back December 9th to get fitted for the retainer in my lowers to hold a space in ...

question about midline

a couple of adjustments ago power chains were put on my lower incisors and canines to close the gaps between them. So, now it is closed and a "holder" is in place while my molars are moved towards my canines/incisors (I will need one molar dental implant). I told my ortho assistant that I ...

No extractions for me. I actually have just a tiny bit of crowding on my uppers that only affected my left lateral incisor. On my bottoms I am missing 3 teeth (bicuspids and a premolar). I am actually going to have to get implants when the treatment is done.

thank you to those that replied to my post ... i feel some relief. I guess it's true I have never seen anyone who had braces with uneven teeth - i guess it would have been pointless if uneveness is not addressed when more major things are .

thanks again guys! hugs!

uneven teeth

I have noticed since my last adjustment (first week of August) that the left lateral incisor that got a power chain has rotated to the front (turned in due to minor crowding)...however, the right lateral incisor has got straighter, yes, but it is a tad bit longer than the rest of my teeth. Is it jus...

Chains do hurt, as I have a powerchain on bottom. The pain I felt after it was put on was much worse than a normal adjustment for me - but the results sure came a lot faster. I also have had great results from the power chains that I got first week of this month. It has only been a couple of weeks ...

The assistant at my ortho's practice told me that gum can help you adjust especially after each adjustments, but, it has to be sugar free. I was never a gum fan before braces and I definitely have not tried gum and braces since I got my braces on but I guess if it doesn't bother you, go for it!
