I was one of those little
girls who grew up in a family who thought the gaps in our
front teeth were our family's trademark. Well I knew at age
5 I didn't not want this to be my trademark. I knew when I
could stick my tongue between my two front teeth and none of
my friends could. That there had to be a way to fix this.
Well I started working at the age of 16 first paycheck I
knew I was going to get braces till he told me the cost and
my check was barely 300 bucks...I decided to take an
alternate route and fill the gap with GOLD. It only cost
$325. I was still at home with mom I could spare one
check....It was cute when I was 16 and 17. I'm 34 now. Its
not so cute and I'm not making minimum wage.
I had two children one a
daughter born with my side of the family's trademark. When I
though she was able to take care of teeth faithfully on her own
and a few no cavity reports, she went to the orthodontist. Never
missed an appointment -- I made sure of that. Came out beautiful
18 months later. That is when I decided it was my turn. I have
had the top ones on for 3 days now and have lost 4 pounds. I'm
not complaining -- they are not as bad as I thought. Speech is a
little different. I go back next week to get the bottom ones put
on...One of the best decisions I have made for me personally. I
LOVE MY BRACES. I'm still in the family! |
