My name is Cindi from North Carolina. I am 47 years old, and in braces for the second time. My first time was when I was in in my early 30's. Wore those for 4 years, and once I got them off, didn't wear the retainer like I was supposed to.

The last few years my bottom teeth had shifted to the point it started to push my top teeth out. My husband had begin to notice it as I would talk, and recommended going back to the orthodontist to have them checked. Once in, he told me option 1 was braces, and option 2 was braces, so needless to say that on December 1st 2005 the braces went back on.

I chose metal on both top and bottom, hope to get better results. I feel like a teenager again, the whole braces and glasses thing. The first week has been a little stressful, not being able to eat like normal, but the end result will be worth it. This time I WILL wear the retainer when theses come off in 24 to 36 months.
